Took a few years before I shot positive / slide film. What and why was and still is there this film? Its film that people shot to try be more precise in viewing the scene than negative / print film that the common folk used. This is the film that photographers shot for serious slide projecting viewing evenings (before data projectors in which movie viewing took over). Mountain explorations exceptionally looked brilliant with this film. But also for the print industry. Advertising, magazines, books etc. use to scan in this film in to illustrate what they had to. So basically its a snobby film. Bit like shooting RAW vs JPG. Except visa versa when it comes to the psychology. Positive film is more like the jpg and negative film is more like the RAW. Funny that.
